Walk Description
The book Secret New Forest, by Martin Brisland, tells the fascinating story of this World Heritage Site. The New Forest is neither new nor really a forest. Only half is wooded with the rest being mainly gorse, heathland, mudflats and farms. Join this walk with Martin and Katie from Oak Tree Tours to learn more.
The walk will explore the flora and fauna of Brockenhurst village common and the Lymington River. ItĀ is suitable for families with children over the age of 6, and the Foresters Arms is a dog friendly pub.
The book Secret New Forest will appeal to anyone with an interest in the history of this area of southern England. Author, Martin Brisland will be available to sign copies of the book at the end of the walk.
