Walk Description
Would you like to learn a little more about foraging, to have the confidence to go beyond autumnal blackberry picking in the hedgerows? This walk will help you identify a few new, common edibles and provide ideas on what to do with them at home. Your walking will never be the same again! Instead of marching along the path you will be slowly scanning nature’s pantry for her seasonal offerings.
This walk will be focusing on discovering the edible wild foods of the April hedgerow.
Walk Leader
Wild Seasons Foraging run foraging courses across East Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex. They teach people how to find and identify the edible plants and fungi in season, along with the poisonous ones so that they can pick with confidence. Foraging can be both fun and relaxing, and their courses are both of those as well as a great way to reconnect with the natural world in which we live. Beginners are very welcome along with those that have some experience of finding wild food.
