Walk Description

This is a linear walk from Ashurst in the New Forest walking towards Beaulieu Road Station. From Beaulieu Road you can either catch the train back to the start/home, or enjoy a longer walk retracing your footsteps back to Ashurst. The choice is yours. 

The New Forest is known for its variety of landscape and nature, and this walk will be no exception as it wind its way through contrasting woodland and open heathland. The route will also pass an area used used for “dig for Victory” during World War Two, and finish at the Beaulieu pony sales.

There will be an opportunity to have refreshments at the pub in Beaulieu.

Walk Leader

This walk is led by Andy Austin from the Ashurst & Colbury Community Group. Andy is an experienced walk leader qualified up to Mountain Leader level.
